Tactics

Luring the slasher into the temple with the virtue symbol on the floor will weaken its power considerably. Update: this does not appear to be the case.

Lure the slasher near a pack of hell hounds, the slasher will attack or be attacked by the hounds, distracting it from friendly attackers.

It is immune to Word of Death Spellweaving spell.

It will deal massive damage to pets, 540+ points per hit to pets is not uncommon.

It uses a rapid fire boulder throwing attack, which can be deadly if player is also paralyzed by slasher. Slasher's paralyze is not broken by hits, unlike normal paralyze, and even affects ghosts.

It drops "magically infused rubble", which can be picked up and thrown (used) against slasher.

The artifact drops can be placed into the pack of players, as well as appearing on the corpse.

The Berserker's Scythe can drop from this. It is unknown if the blackrock infection associated with this weapon affects slasher.

It is surprisingly susceptible to paralyze spell, as well as earthquake.

Notes

The Slasher of Veils is using the words of power Mu Ort and Mur Kal Ort from time to time. In the Gargoyle language "Mu Ort" means [[Compassion magic and "Mur Kal Ort" something like mass casting. However, it is yet unknown what the slasher wishes to express, nor which spells are associated with them.
