Wisp

It is thought in some places that these highly intelligent creatures can talk. One scholar wrote: Wisps will indeed need to learn our language as it is completely impossible to verbalize theirs. However, one can begin to distinguish intentions of their language with careful listening. Yes, they are sentient and very intelligent, but view the world quite differently from humans.

In still other places, it is thought that to follow a wisp will lead one to a treasure.

Wisps have no corporeal bodies, yet they are not spirits, but are somehow formed of living light. They are wise creatures, perhaps wiser than humans. They seem curious about the affairs of humans, but I have never known a wisp to harm anyone who did not first threaten it somehow.
