Culverin

![Light_ship_cannon.png] Culverin were introduced with the High Seas booster. They were previously known as Light Ship Cannons and were used to fire Light Cannonballs.

After publish 104, the light and heavy cannonballs were combined into Cannonballs no longer requiring a specific cannon to fire.

Firing A Cannon

Tools Required:

  • Ramrod
  • Torch

Consumables Required:

  • Fuse Cord
  • Powder Charge
  • Cannonball or Grapeshot

To fire a cannon, you must add the consumables to the cannon, by dropping the items onto the cannon (which acts as a container). One of each consumable is required.
Double click the cannon to access the firing menu. With your ramrod and torch in your pack, select Prep. If you are not close enough to the cannon you will not be able to Prep the cannon. Once the prep is done, the Unload option and Fire option become available.

Additionally, you can say "Fire Port Broadside" or "Fire Starboard Broadside" to fire all cannons that are prepped on either the port (left) or starboard (right) side.

Once you fire your cannon(s) you must prep again to fire another round.

Each time you fire your cannon, the cannon takes damage. You can repair your cannons by single clicking to pull up the context menu. Repairing the cannon does not require any specific skill but does require ingots. The amount of ingots differ depending on how damaged the cannon is.
