Surge Shield is a Treasure Map Artifact introduced with Publish 67. Both human and gargoyle versions are available as Bronze Shield and Gargish Wooden Shield. Gargoyle version comes from the Treasure Maps on Ter Mur. It comes with 50 charges and is both enhanceable and imbuable.
Apart from the +5 Random Resist property, three additional properties are also random, making them available in 60 varieties:
Random Property I
One of the following: - Surge Hp Regeneration - Surge Mana Regeneration - Surge Stamina Regeneration
This property increases the specified regeneration type by 10 for 20 seconds when one of its charges is used while being equipped by the player.
Random Property II
One of the following: - Hit Chance Increase 5% - Lower Mana Cost 4%

One of the following: - Faster Casting 1 - Spell Channeling
